Commanders and combatants from the Women's Defense Units YPJ have been of a great contribution for Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo launched May 6 by the People's Defense Units YPG alongside battalions from the Burkan al-Firat (Euphrates Volcano - Free Syrian Army) Joint Operations Room, supported by fighters from the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve of International Anti-ISIL Coalition in Jazira region, Hasakah, Rojava, Syria.
Realizing a significant rise in the effectiveness of the cited cooperation, led by the Defense Units, combined forces managed on June 15 to liberate and fully secure the border town of Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) from Daesh (ISIS) terrorists on the Turkish border, cutting one of the most vital supply routes for the terrorist group, as well as bringing back peace to a vast rural district around the small towns of Suluk and Ain Issa so the local Kurdish, Arab, Christian and Turkmen population could gradually return to their normal life.
Operations in this region are successfully enduring.
