At 84, the World's Oldest Female Sharpshooter Doesn't Miss :-)

At age 65, Chandro Tomar, who lives in a small village in the Uttar Pradesh state of northern India, stumbled upon a shooting range and picked up a gun for the first time. When she aimed the gun at a target and pulled the trigger, she realized she was a natural. Just like that, Tomar became a sharpshooter. Now 84 years old, Tomar has won countless shooting competitions, but she's most proud of the impact she's had training other young women in her community.

Kỷ niệm ngày Quân Lực VNCH và khánh thành đài tưởng niệm Tháng Tư Đen

Trưa Chủ Nhật 18/6/2017, tại khu tượng đài chiến sĩ Việt - Mỹ miền Nam California đã diễn ra buổi lễ kỷ niệm Ngày Quân Lực VNCH 19/6 và đây cũng là buổi lễ khánh thành tượng đài đài tưởng niệm Quốc Hận 30/4. Trên đó có khắc tên những vị tưỡng, sĩ quan VNCH đã tuẫn tiết trong tháng 4/1975. Buổi lễ có sự tham dự của Thượng Nghị Sĩ Janet Nguyễn và bà đã trao nghị quyết lấy ngày 19/6 là ngày vinh danh Quân Lực VNCH của tiểu bang California.

Meet Neena Gupta: Youngest Scientist To Solve A 70 Year Old Math Problem :-)

Neena Gupta, an Indian math prodigy has proved that sky is the limit for some. After Shakuntala Devi, she has filled the void that was left opened and has made an outstanding achievement in the field of mathematics.

She has solved a math problem that baffled the mathematicians around the world for 70 years.

The math problem that Neena solved is called Zariski Cancellation Conjecture for affine spaces. Insa praised Neena Gupta’s work as “one of the best works in Algebraic Geometry in recent years.”

She has bagged the Indian National Science Academy award (INSA) for her solution being one of the best so far. She is also the recipient of the Ramanujan Prize (2014), and the Saraswathi Cowsik Medal (2013) by Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Alumni Association.

Nhạc sĩ Nhật Ngân tên thật là Trần Nhật Ngân sinh năm 1942 tại Thanh Hóa theo thân phụ vào định cư ở Huế một thời gian sau đó vào Đà Nẳng học. Cuối thập niên 50 ông vào Sài Gòn. Đến khi trưởng thành ông ra lại Đà Nẳng dạy nhạc và Việt Văn tại trường Phan Thanh Giản.

An astrophysicist and a rocket scientist spell out what it takes to be a woman scientist in India

Gender And Education: According to a 2015 study by Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia, the number of women in science has risen. At least 25 to 30 per cent of PhDs in science are done by women now.

According to a 2015 study by Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia, the number of women in science has risen and now.

In 1993, Annaporni was the first woman professor to join the department of Physics and Astrophysics in Delhi University. “When I was told so, it made me feel very good. I also realised that I have to work harder now,” she says with a glint of pride in her eyes, sitting in her office. The number of women in the department has grown ever since but the gender gap still remains wide. At present, out of 44 members in the faculty of Delhi University’s Physics department, only eight are women.

Phái yếu không bao giờ yếu :-) _Hoàng Bích Hà



          Không biết ngày xưa ai gọi phụ nữ là “phái yếu” thì thật quả là sai lầm. Theo tôi thì phụ nữ họ không hề yếu yếu chút nào cả. Nếu nói phụ nữ là “ Phái yếu” qua diện mạo bên ngoài thì đàn ông sẽ bị thua đo ván ngay lập tức. Điều này không phải tôi là phụ nữ mà nói quá lên đâu, điều tôi nói là có cơ sở   căn cứ.

Người xưa có câu “Tiên học lễ, hậu học văn”. Quả thực ý nghĩa của nó có thể áp dụng qua mọi thời đại. Để học được chữ “Lễ” cần phải hiểu thế nào là giá trị của một con người. Đó quả là một kho kiến thức khổng lồ và vô giá, mà hàng thế kỷ, từ thế hệ này đến thế hệ khác luôn tìm tòi và học hỏi, để nâng cao vốn sống của mình.
